Butterball and butternut

Happy Thanksgiving eve! I hope that the preparations are going well and travel are safe. I started my day by participating in Butterball Bootcamp in Y2 Yoga. It is an annual tradition on the eve of Thanksgiving. It was my third year of participation. Last year, I taught, this year I have practice with 70 other yogis. Pretty cool. It is basically just a class of two additional hours with abs and a sequence of commands longer. Through traffic, we went three times. The highlight was a contest in which I have taken the Board for five minutes! Everyone who has done more than five minutes received a t-shirt. I'm fiercely competitive and wanted to continue to go well.

Thanksgiving Day 2012

I was really undecided on what to do for Thanksgiving this year. Wanted part of me to pretend that it wasn't happening. I almost stayed in Charlotte and planned to meet friends on offers to celebrate with them, but I made a last minute decision to drive to Georgia to be with my family. Thanksgiving is usually my favorite year-round vacation, and I so look forward planning and cooking dinner. It was different this time, but in the end I see and feel that it was the best thing to do to get out of Charlotte and the family.

A Productive lazy day

I have very much today, but I'm so exhausted. I fell asleep almost read on the couch before dinner and I feel little bit sluggish in general. I was joking with my parents that when I slow it down, I turned off. It is probably not that my diet is mainly composed of sugar and carbohydrates in the last 24 hours. I'm so excited to read in bed and sleep a good night.
